美国能源部（Department of Energy）简称DOE。DOE依据美国能效相关法规颁布了DOE认证，这便是DOE认证的来源。

DOE 认证标准法规

美国联邦法规:10CFR429和10CFR430；

其中10CFR429规定了样品选用规范和报告规范；

10CFR430规定了测试方法和符合性宣告规范。
